TWO VERY SPECIAL TRAVEL WORKSHOPS:
 Expressions Of
JAPAN
with
Carla O’Connor, AWS-DF/NWS
March 2010
This is a special workshop to Japan for painting, journaling and touring to experience its people, traditions, color, texture and patterns. From the peace and grace of the gardens and temples of Kyoto to ancient samurai homes in Kanazawa and the ultra-modern neighborhoods of Tokyo, we will explore and record the many moods and styles firsthand.
Along the way we’ll meet artists and abbots, see the Geisha of Gion and the glitz of Ginza, stroll gardens and bamboo forests and, most of all, let the beauty of Japan reveal itself through a perfect sunlit maple tree or tea leaves drifting to the bottom of a porcelain cup. Each traveler will return home with a very personal visual record that is complete on its own but will continue to inspire for years of painting endeavors in the studio.

Carla and Judy have created a special painting tour in Tuscany where they will both share their unique and successful painting techniques. As they team teach in one of the most culturally rich regions of Italy, they will inspire memories that will awaken painting endeavors for years to come. Count on fun, a few surprises, lots of laughter, new friends, and an amazing creative experience!
Group size is limited. Early booking is highly recommended. Tour is suitable for painters of all levels and non-painting partners are welcome.
